Care. The subject was too long so I finished it in here. HELL YEAH!! This was the email I received just a couple hours ago! ------------------------------------------ Hi Everyone, We're pleased to announce that our fifth album will be coming out this April. It has six songs and its called Take Care, Take Care, Take Care. It was recorded on a pecan ranch in West Texas by our good friend and frequent collaborator John Congleton. Esteban Rey did the artwork. The music on it feels different than anything else we've done before and we're very excited for you to hear it. Anyway, here is the track list: 1. Last Known Surroundings 2. Human Qualities 3. Trembling Hands 4. Be Comfortable, Creature 5. Postcard from 1952 6. Let Me Back In And here are the release dates: UK (April 18th) Europe (April 25th) US and Canada (April 26th) Thanks for caring and we hope to see a lot of you this year. Love, Explosions --------------------------------------------- I just emailed them regarding preorder dates and what not, so I'll update this thread as soon as I receive any info! Edit: Well, they are awesome at replying back really fast haha, only took them an hour! -- Munaf said, "Hey man! Glad to hear from you again! Thanks for all the kind words and yeah, we're 'stoked' too...I say it like that because we're still nervous about playing the new songs and, of course, the release of the new album. But, yes, we are all stoked! Anyway! TRR should be notifying the internet in February regarding the pre-orders. Hope to hear from you soon. -Explosions (Munaf)" --------------------------- Edit #2: Whenever someone posts an update or general information regarding the album, I'll just post it in this area so no one misses anything(Thanks to gkersey for the picture below) (Thanks to Jared for posting the link to the teaser) vimeo.com/19149133and here's the recent one from about a month ago: vimeo.com/18433870--------------------------------------------------- ANYONE ELSE STOKED?

They definitely played two new songs when I saw them back in September in some shit church -- DEFINITELY AWESOME. I didn't get a chance to talk to them after a show to ask them which new songs were played because I spent too much time talking to the girl who's toe I broke...stupid girl wore fucking flip flops! There was no way I was going to just stand there like every other zombie in that place! Suuuuch an amazing show (for $13!!)

Yes, yes, and yes. Will be checking back into this thread relentlessly, assuming they plan on doing a vinyl release relatively soon. It will be the first EITS record that I may initially listen to on vinyl, if possible. Cannot wait.

It would be your first EITS album to own on vinyl? Or your first time every owning vinyl? haha

I believe I'm at fault; just got home from working a full nightshift. My brain's a little shot, and I should know better than to attempt replies this late (/early?)
I meant to say that I only discovered EITS two years ago, give or take. I wasted no time grabbing their discography on vinyl - sans How Strange, Innocence - and I absolutely love the way the albums sound on the turntable. I'd like to have my initial / introductory listen of Take Care to be on vinyl... but if it takes a while for them to release a LP, I'm not sure how long I'll be able to wait. Once the end of April rolls around, I mean.
Sorry for the confusion!

Yeah, I'm going to download it when I can, but definitely preorder whatever LP version that will be out there. It's goin' be goddang good!

Wow, I don't think I've ever seen it surpass $400; close to that price, but not past it. Jesus. I always bug Ruined Potential Records and EITS to repress it, buuuuut no luck, haha.

YOU DUMBASS! i had no concept of the repercussions to follow. i should have known it was an important milestone. i did at least finally see EITS with The Paper Chase and Eluvium in 2007. i somewhat made up for it.
